The word is that the economy is starting to get better. Here is an article about how college graduates are now starting to be able to find jobs.
Do you believe it?
After all, college students are one of the groups that have really struggled through this recesson as they graduate with more debt than ever before only to find jobs in short supply. Even if a job can be found, many times has been for less than 40 hours a week and a wage that is less than desirable.
The news media is going to make things sound as good as it can because journalists are mostly liberal and want President Obama to get reelected. And then we have the government that always comes out with reports which skew the numbers in their favor (both Republican and Democrat administrations do it) to make things look better than they are. Many people are starting to realize that you just can’t take the government or the news media at its word anymore.
So what is the real truth? Are things really getting better? Real people are the only ones that can answer that question. Real people who are out of work and looking for jobs would be the ones who know whether more jobs are opening up. College students who have their ear to the ground would know what the situation is with their friends who have graduated and are out in the workplace. Real people who do have jobs would know whether their current jobs are in as much jeopardy as they were several months ago.
Please answer the poll below to show how you feel about the current economy. How do you feel about your future financial situation and job finding prospects?
Lol, you guys are so funny! At twenty-one, I have not ever held a job because I cannot find one anywhere. I’ve been looking since I was sixteen and though I have had interviews, people gripe about my schedule or the fact that I have no “relevant” experience. I’m still living in my parents’ basement, quite literally, and I am considering enlisting in the military because this is driving me nuts. No, things are not better, despite what people are saying. I’m really pissed and frankly, I think if we don’t all get angry and vote practically, this country is going down the tubes.
